About: Ash is a young farmer who belongs to a large family, all of whom are farmers (in the Overground this family were loggers). Ash has a particular fascination for plants; they love and know anything plant related. Ash's entire family are Adaptationists, and Ash is no exception. In fact, Ash is very vocal about their beliefs and dislike of the Expansionist ideals.
Ash takes their job very seriously; when not working on the farm Ash experiments with unused/inedible plant material to try to make farming more efficient. Ash firmly believes that if plant matter is bred to be as efficient as possible, the Underground will not need to be expanded.
Ash is an outgoing optimist with lots of hope for the Underground's future. They don't have any really close friends, as they spend so much time experimenting, but they are open to making stronger relationships in the future (as long as these friends don't have clashing political views!)
Ash also has a pet bat called Boivern.
