Tales of Terminus

The stations around Nidus and Viculus are no longer in the hands of the Director’s Office’s enforcers. Militias of ordinary citizens have taken control and declared themselves “independent” of the Director’s authority.

Sounds like the enforcers got a bloody nose when they tried to reestablish control, too. Literally, Fatima was seen being stitched up in Medicus. Is this the end of the established order? Are we going to see the Underground as we know it dissolve?

One thing is for sure, people are angry, and with the Director’s Office failing to satisfy their needs, others are stepping up, and if strong leadership does not hold us together, then our differences will tear us apart.

Directors Office Logistics Technical Report: 2140_12_31

The lights in the Underground remain on.

The Chief Tunnel engineer is happy to announce the opening of new routes between Filum Interchange and Series, and between Medicus Interchange and Medicamentum.

Systems failures in Fundus Superior have resulted in severely reduced capacity. The Director’s Office requests that greater caution is taken with the Underground’s limited food production facilities. Additionally, we request that our Drivers do not face harassment in the course of carrying out their scheduled orders.

Fax is operating at below usual capacity due to a shortfall in parts.

A tram collision has resulted in severe injuries and the loss of rolling stock. Disruption on some routes is expected. Drivers are requested to operate with extreme caution, and make sure their brake lines are functioning before use.

Ludere has closed the juice bar and other catering facilities due to a lack of supplies. So far 273 complaints have been registered with the Director’s Office.

Note: Logisticians may desire to clear routes around Nidus and Vicus with the relevant authorities. Failure to do so may result in… administrative difficulties with Move Orders.

HAVE YOU NOTICED UNUSUAL SIDE EFFECTS AFTER CONSUMING MUSHROOMS PROVIDED BY AMANDINE JACKSON?

THESE MAY INCLUDE:

  • Headaches
  • Nausea
  • Spontaneous revival of necrotic flesh
  • Rashes

IF ANY OF THE ABOVE APPLY, PLEASE GET IN TOUCH WITH THE DIRECTOR’S OFFICE TO ASSIST WITH AN ONGOING INVESTIGATION. REMAIN CALM AND PROCEED AS USUAL.

Following Stallholder Adela's motion at Oak Hansford's trial and the new information that Oak is alive and well at Medicus, the Underground has voted for the trial to be delayed a week so that more information can be gathered and a fair trial can be conducted. There will be no further delays. Thank you for your patience.

More tremours have been felt this week, this time coming from the Obscurus area. Obscurus is off limits due to its high cave-in risk, so if anyone is caught endangering the Underground by frequenting Obscurus there will be severe punishments.

A train lost control and crashed after departing from Terra recently. One driver was confirmed to be on board. They were rescued by a local denizen and brought to Medicus. The victim has since managed to undergo emergency surgery and they are stable. The cause of the train crash is still under investigation.

100 More Years or is Enough Enough?

And so the 100 year anniversary of going Underground is nearly upon us. 100 years since Dane Lawrence thought quickly and evacuated Principality City from incoming missiles. Whilst we're all thankful we didn't end up as a big pile of irradiated mess, we have to ask, are we happy?

The Underground grows more restless by the day. There have been breakaway factions declaring independence from Caput and are trying to establish self-governance as we speak. Will more follow, or will surviving without logistical help from the Director's Office prove to be an impossibility?

Regardless of unity or freedom, regardless of adapt or expand, we all have one question. Where is the Director? Elektron Kovač, sibling of Director Avgust, circulated an email last week claiming the Director was missing and that Secretary Aslan had assumed control of the Underground. No doubt there will be questions for Aslan at the upcoming town meeting, given they have not been responding to questions so far.

This Centenary, take time to celebrate. Take time to enjoy being with friends and family. But do not relinquish your desires, your dreams, or your standards. To Avgust or Aslan or whatever other shadow government is hiding from us, the Denizens of the Deep will only accept secrecy and incompetence for so long.
